CalaverasGROWN awarded two $500 scholarships, county-wide, to graduating high school seniors living in Calaveras County. $500 for the essay category and $500 for the expression category (poem, painting, drawing, video, music, etc.)
Topic: Your dreams, aspirations, actions, and choices will shape the future. Describe the community you want to live in and what you plan to do to make it a reality.

2023
CalaverasGROWN awarded two $500 scholarships, county-wide, to graduating high school seniors living in Calaveras County.
Topic: Your dreams, aspirations, actions, and choices will shape the future. Describe the community you want to live in and what you plan to do to make it a reality. . The submission could be in whatever creative medium they chose to express themself: a short essay OR other expression: poem, painting, drawing, video, music, etc. It must be an original piece created by them during this school year.

2022 Application Essay Topic
Water is the foundation of Life and all human activity. Water is also the dominant component of Earth's cooling system. Most of the water on land is stored in the soil. Name and describe 2-3 techniques for storing more water in the soil.

"2020 has brought unprecedented challenges to communities around the world. Our rural economy in Calaveras County has been hard hit by the socio-economic crisis that the response to COVID-19 has created.
